A busy week for the Blue Anchor, with lots of lunch time bookings keeping us going.

Friday was a great night for us with the first weekend after a vaguely successful dry January for everyone. It was great to see so many faces popping by after work for a bite to eat and a few drinks to prepare themselves for a busy month of Six Nations celebrations.

Finally, the day had arrived on Saturday… The Six Nations Rugby! And to celebrate we are showing all the games along with our six nations themed burgers. So all you England fans don’t feel like you’re changing sides if you choose to hanker down on our delicious Guinness infused burger over then more traditional bacon and egg burger.

With two great games over the day as expected, we then had a very busy evening with lots of lovely customers coming in to celebrate England’s success!

As always Sunday came round in a hurry and to help shield the Monday blues, the best thing to do is come for a beautiful roast dinner at the Blue Anchor. With our fantastic homemade pies that could compete in height with The Shard and a delicious local ale, what more could you want? And after a busy lunch service and lots of drinkers coming to enjoy our cosy fire, we had four teams in for the quiz. Sadly, none of them beat the quiz master for the prize money which now rolls over to next week at a whopping £107!

Looking forward to seeing you over the coming week for more enjoyment
