Another week passing us by in a blink of an eye as we look back at what was yet another busy week here at The Blue Anchor.

With the week starting out busy as we had parties booked in from Monday onwards, the pub has a great atmosphere throughout the whole week, with multiple groups coming in for either just drinks or for a bite to eat as well.  This continued through the whole week, with at least 1 or 2 bookings in everything single day.

The pub then got even busier from Friday to the end of the weekend as people came to visit us after a stressful week of work to be able to unwind and relax.  Saturday saw a very busy day, with the pub packed out the whole day as they settled in to then watch England take on France in the 6 Nations, which unfortunately ended with England losing 22-16, meaning that Ireland have now won the Championship, and a win for them next Saturday, on St. Patrick’s Day, against England at Twickenham, could then see them win the Grand Slam as well.  Saturday night stayed just as busy as the day, as quite a lot of the people in to watch the rugby stayed to then drown their sorrows, whilst we were also joined by a couple of other Parties.

Sunday then saw our busiest day of the week, with it being Mothers Day.  The pub was fully booked and packed out all the way through food service from 12pm to 5pm, all bringing their Mother’s here for a meal off of our amazing Mothers Day Menu or one of awesome Sunday Roasts.  With everyone loving their food along with their time spent here with us, everyone left in great spirits having a truly memorable time.  Sunday evening then saw our Weekly Pub Quiz commence, with 8 teams participating this week.  The Snowball was won, with the winning team walking away with around £35.  It will now start to build again and be available to win next Sunday at around £20.

We now look to what should be another busy week here, with a few parties booked in throughout the week, as well as the final weekend of the 6 Nations and St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday which is always a good night to be had by everyone!
