Another week flying by us here at the Blue Anchor as we are now almost at the end of February and look towards what March brings us…. Hopefully some sunshine and warm weather so we can once again get our garden up and running!

It was another busy week throughout here at the Blue, with plenty of customers popping in for a couple of beverages and a bite to eat most days of the week.  Tuesday evening we were closed for a private function for around 150 People, for which everyone involved had a truly enjoyable time here within the pub, along with thoroughly enjoying the buffet that was put on for them, with many of the customers still speaking about it at the end of the week!

It continued to be busy for the rest of the week, with everything truly kicking-off properly on Friday Night once everyone had finished work and could finally relax and enjoy a couple of well-earned days off.  Friday evening was rather busy, with many Locals & Office Workers coming down for a few pints and a spot of food, which as always went down a treat.

Saturday was another busy day, with the pub packed for the 6 Nations match between Scotland and England, which saw a shocking but well-earned win for the Scots, beating England 25-13.  After the match, the pub stayed busy through the rest of the evening, with a couple of parties.

Sunday, as always, was another busy day within the pub, with plenty of families all booking in to come and join us for their Sunday Roast, which once again went down extremely well, with empty plates coming back from everyone as they thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday Lunch here with us.  Sunday evening then saw our Weekly Pub Quiz take place, this week with 6 teams participating.  Once again, the Snowball was won also, with the winning team walking away with £25!  The Snowball will now start over and be available to win next Sunday at around £20.

We now look forward to what should be yet another great week here at the Blue Anchor, with plenty of Bookings already coming in for this Week.  Hopefully, it just doesn’t snow too much that people can’t make it out!!
