Paul is a versatile and dynamic classically trained chef that brings a wealth of experience to the Blue Anchor. A ‘Master Chef’ in his own right, Paul has worked at a number of highly acclaimed restaurants and gastro pubs worldwide throughout his career including a ten-year stint serving as Chief Catering Officer in the Merchant Navy.
The Blue Anchor is excited to have Paul join its professional team, we are particularly excited as Paul really wants to engage with our customers, the local community and our producers around our menu and service offering. He has a real passion for good quality, food done properly. A key driver to Paul’s appointment is his community spirit and drive to engage with it. We believe that is a perfect fit for the ‘Community approach’ the Blue Anchor wants to achieve.
Paul has a keen focus on developing young new talent into the industry. A founding member of Chefs Four Chefs, an organization aimed at encouraging a better training ethos within the catering sector, through encouraging like-minded professionals to offer their time and expertise in colleges and schools encouraging and motivating young trainees.
Paul’s key objective at the Blue Anchor is to achieve happy repeat customers, build on the Blue Anchors reputation for excellent home cooked food and develop a culinary experience that creates a following. Paul’s mantra being “If food is my religion then the kitchen is my chapel.”
