Our Blue Anchor pub, has a growing reputation for providing quality, fresh, home cooked pub classics using locally sourced produce.
The candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy commercial kitchen. The successful applicant will have aspirations to take the helm and develop the team and menu offering. As part of the role you will:-
- Devise, cost and implement seasonal menus
- Work and negotiate with only the best fresh local food producers
- Achieve the budgeted food GP through careful planning and weekly analysis
- Carry out weekly stock-takes and kitchen audits
- Train, develop and motivate your team
- Manage health and hygiene procedures
This is an ideal role for Sous Chef with a passion for cooking fresh local produce that is seeking their first Head Chef position in the food side of the public house trade. Our successful team work with only the best fresh local produce, in our modern and recently refitted kitchen.
The right candidate will have at least a years experience of working in a commercial kitchen at a level of Commis Chef or above.
The Assistant Chef will report to and assist our Head Chef and will learn how to run all aspects of a commercial food operation.
We have 2 Pubs in Reigate, within a stones throw of each other, each with their very own personality and clientele. One is a lively Sports and Entertainment Venue that is busy all week round. The other is a growing family friendly restaurant, with a recently refurbished garden, which offers great home cooked food lunchtimes and evenings Thurs-Sun.
