With another week quickly behind us, we look back at what was yet another busy week here at The Blue Anchor.

With the weather not really knowing what it was doing for the whole of the week, with it being warm & sunny, then snowing, then raining, it seemed to keep everyone slightly confused! The start of the week saw some lovely warm weather, which meant that the garden was once again in use with people coming down to enjoy a spot of food whilst sitting out in the sun. A couple of days of sun and then it was snowing, which saw locals & office workers come to join us and sit next to the burning open fire to try and warm up whilst having a few beverages to wash down their lunch.  This was accompanied by a couple of parties throughout the weekday evenings for a bit of food and a couple of drinks.

Friday saw the start of the weekend, with the pub quickly filling up with everyone getting in the weekend mood after finishing work. With the pub packed, a great night was had by all who came down to join us.

Saturday saw more of the same, with the pub busy from opening, with Food being ordered by most customers, everyone once again lived their meals & enjoyed their time spent here with us.

Sunday probably saw our busiest day, with Mother’s Day getting the pub fully booked throughout lunch service. With the awesome Mother’s Day menu in high demand, along with the usual Sunday Roasts, food was flying out of the kitchen, with everyone loving what they had ordered, leaving us extremely happy and very full.  Sunday night then saw our Weekly Pub Quiz take place, with 6 teams participating this week.  Once again the Snowball was not won, now rolling it over to a total near £200!

Let’s hope for another busy week here, hopefully with a bit more consistently warm weather!
